Understanding the commercial sector

All organisations are different, with different corporate cultures and different drivers for change. The commercial sector has provided some of the most challenging and also some of the most interesting and exciting projects that we have worked on.

Some examples include:

  • Training for the implementation of a private banking platform with a major London private bank. A tailored banking system, with bespoke elements to meet the specific needs of the bank, integrating with SAP and other systems to provide a seamless platform to support all the business processes within the bank. Optimum provided a team of four consultants to develop and deliver role-based training to 300 users.

  • International training programme to support a major upgrade of an ERP system for a leading property management consultancy. Training in the Middle East, China and Taiwan was followed by a UK-wide programme. Optimum provided a team of consultants to develop and to localise the materials for each area, as well as to deliver training and support users through go-live.

  • Training for a finance system implementation in a Scottish based financial services organisation. A relatively small project, for a very customised finance system to meet the specific needs of the organisation.

  • Working with an alternative energy provider and engineering firm to provide training for the implementation of e-procurement and project costing and billing. Following implementation, Optimum was engaged to provide additional training for the subsequent upgrade of the system. Much of the training was delivered via Webex to remote users.
