Introduction to Flash
Who is the course for?
This course is designed for new users who wish to create simple animations for inclusion in their web site or other media. No previous experience of this product is required; however, new users should be familiar with the PC or Mac operating system.
Pre-requisites
You need to have basic Windows skills, including opening and saving, copying and moving information, and working with a keyboard and mouse
What does the course cover?
Introducing Flash: A brief overview of Flash; introducing streaming animation; creating and saving Flash movies; SWF and FLA files
The Flash workspace Palettes, panels and tool; the Timeline; customising the workspace; the Swatches panel
Flash drawing tools Meeting the tools panel; creating and modifying shapes; applying colour; vector vs bitmap objects; working with colour' incorporating text
Animation Working with frames and layers; using motion guides and masks; different types of animation; checking your movie
Creating animated movies Introducing frame by frame animation; motion tweening; shape tweening; onion-skinning; Flash timeline effects
Libraries Creating, storing and editing symbols; graphic symbols; button symbols; movie clip symbols; opening symbols from other movies; creating folders; checking links and orphan files
Publishing your movie Look at the options for publishing the completed movie; saving as an HTML web page; importing a SWF file into Dreamweaver
